THE PROJECT

V0R

Everybody has a space bubble that varies depending on our level of comfort being close in proximity to someone. Edward Hall, an American anthropologist, developed a study around the concept of Proxemics dividing the space around you into four “reaction zones”. As a person moves through each zone toward your intimate zone, it can cause physical and psychological reactions in you. Layering these reactions with the slight fear of technology in humans, V0R is created to explore these reactions whether it be acceptance or rejection or the discomfort in between. With advancements in smart technology, we see more and more spaces adopting levels of interior autonomy. With the knowledge about how proximity and space affects people in an interior environment, V0R explores this in conjunction with human-technology interactions.
